YouTuber chef Joshua Weissman likes Jollibee's chicken sandwich more than the crowd favorite sandwich from Chick-Fil-A
In a YouTube video uploaded in his channel last November 1, chef Joshua Weissman ranked the best chicken sandwiches in the United States. The video titled, “I Tried Every Fast Food Fried Chicken Sandwich In America” also features Filipino-Amrican chef Christian Alquiza, the culinary producer of The Burger Show. Joshua also featured Christian when they ranked the best burger in America in a previous video.
In the ranking, chef Joshua has two rules: first is the restaurant must have a cultural significance and has many locations in the United States; it has to have a drive-thru. They rated the sandwiches from one to 10 based on looks, taste and texture. They tried chicken sandwiches from 25 restaurants.
The last restaurant they visited was Jollibee and they ordered the original chicken sandwich. Chef Joshua describes Jollibee as an “underdog in the fast food world and it doesn't get the love and respect it deserves.”
First glance, they already liked the seasoned breading of the chicken. Biting into the sandwich, chefs Joshua and Christian describe the chicken as juicy and “the most flavorful chicken.” Chef Joshua then gave a rating of 8.35, while chef Christian gave it an 8.4 rating, giving the sandwich a total of 8.375 rating.
“Congratulations, Jollibee, the greatest chicken sandwich that there is. If you haven't been to Jollibee it's time to go. Jollibbe, mahal kita,” chef Joshua ends his vlog.
Coming in at second is the chicken sandwich from Bonjanles with a 7.4 rating and then followed by Carl's Jr. chicken sandwich with 6.85 rating.
One of the more popular chicken sandwiches in the US from Chick-Fil-A only got a score of 5.6 from the two chefs.

The Filipino fast food chain is getting a lot of attention from Americans lately. Aside from opening several branches in the US, food publication Eater also named Jollibee's Chickenjoy as the best fast-food fried chicken in the US last year.
