The Dawn will stage their 40th anniversary concert, dubbed “Kwarenta,” at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City on June 27, 2026.

It's remarkable how some bands fade or fracture over time, but The Dawn have done the opposite—staying solid for four decades. Celebrating 40 years in the industry isn't just about longevity; it's about consistently shaping the sound of Filipino rock.

To mark this milestone, the Pinoy rock icons will return to the big stage with another major concert, celebrating their 40th anniversary in the local music industry.

Following the successful staging of Ballet & Ballads—a special collaboration between the band and Ballet Manila held last February—The Dawn are gearing up for another show featuring the current lineup, promising exciting surprises and special appearances.

Dubbed “Kwarenta,” the concert will take place at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City on June 27, 2026. It also highlights The Dawn's legacy as one of the pillars of Filipino rock music, delivering timeless tracks like “Enveloped Ideas” and “Salamat.”

Directed by Paolo Valenciano, “Kwarenta” will showcase a career-spanning setlist—from The Dawn's 1987 self-titled debut to 2018's Ascendant.

The Dawn have always been clear about what they bring to the table: no frills, no gimmicks—just a genuinely “good time rock and roll.” That promise has been at the heart of their music since day one, and it's something they remain deeply passionate about.

Fronted by Jett Pangan, their music blends new wave, post-punk, and classic rock influences, creating a sound that continues to resonate with both longtime fans and newer listeners.

What sets them apart is their ability to evolve without losing their identity. While many bands come and go, The Dawn have endured lineup changes, shifting music trends, and decades of industry transformation—yet their core sound and energy remain recognizable.

As vocalist Jett Pangan reflects, reaching 40 years was never assumed. It is, in many ways, the result of hard work, discipline, and support from fans. “Four decades is something to be really thankful for, and it's all because there are still people out there who enjoy our music and gigs.”

The celebration extends globally with the Kwarenta Tour, with confirmed dates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and more cities to be announced.

Tickets for Kwarenta: The Dawn 40th Anniversary Concert will officially go on sale at 12 noon on April 6, 2026, via TicketWorld. An exclusive after-party will also be held.
