Attention, Potterheads. The opening of the Harry Potter flagship store in New York City, right next to the iconic Flatiron building, is happening in June!
The COVID-19 pandemic may have dragged on, but the Wizarding World still manages to add a little magic into Potterheads' lives. Their latest wonderful surprise? The opening of the Harry Potter flagship store in New York City right next to the iconic Flatiron building in June.
The new three-storey Harry Potter retail experience is said to house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise.

The 21,000-square foot building is located at 935 Broadway Street in New York City, and has 15 different theme areas that will have interactive elements and exclusive products.
The store will have hundreds of Wizarding World props. Plus, some authentic items featured in the films will be on display like the original wands of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore.
Among other must-see authentic items to be exhibited are the original Golden Snitch, Harry's broomstick, and Tom Riddle's diary, which has a basilisk's fang in its center.
Plus, there will be Instagram-worthy features such as the Ministry of Magic London-style phone box, the 100 kilogram-floating model of Fawkes the Phoenix, and Hagrid's huge boots, where you can pose inside for photos or videos!

There will also be two exciting virtual experiences in the flagship store: The 'Chaos at Hogwarts' and the 'Wizards Take Flight.'
The 'Chaos at Hogwarts' VR experience will take you on a journey around Hogwarts, while the 'Wizards Take Flight' will let you ride on a broomstick and fly over London's River Thames.
The flagship store in New York will also contain a “store within a store.”
Graphic design duo, The House of MinaLima, will showcase graphic art creations from Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films such as the Daily Prophet and Quibbler covers.
Moreover, the Harry Potter New York store will serve as the only place aside from Ollivander's where you can have your wands personalized.
The new, flagship store is set to open on June 3 with safety protocols in place.
