Hinangaan ng ilang Pinoy journalists ang mapanuring pamamahayag na ipinamalas sa The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews noong Sabado, January 22.
“Kudos, ma'am Jess! The questions centered on revealing the true character of the candidates. Kaya po mahalaga na magpa-interview sa mga mamamahayag. Mas mahirap po magpatakbo ng Pilipinas kaysa humarap sa mamamahayag,” ani Karen Davila, isang kilalang na news anchor.
Binigyang diin din niya ang halaga ng pagsalang ng presidential aspirants sa mga debate't panayam para mas makilala at makilatis pa ng sambayanang Pilipino ang mga plataporma't adhikain na inihahain nila sa bansa.
“The presidency is not only about competence and vision but also about character. Interviews with journalists help peel the layers for voters to get to know candidates. Bawat mamahayag, may kanya-kanyang istilo ng pagtatanong at nakakatulong lahat ito sa pagpili kung sino [ang] iboboto,” dagdag pa nito.
Muling pinaalalahanan ni Karen ang mga kumakandidato na ang pagtanong ng “tough or hard questions” ay ang tungkulin ng mga mamamahayag para sa mga mamamayan na kanilang pinaglilingkuran.
“The Presidency is no joke. The country and our children's future is at stake,” ani Karen.

Sumaludo rin ang iba pang Pinoy journalists tulad nina Lian Buan at Llanesca Panti sa mahusay na pananaliksik na ginawa para sa mga katanungang ibinato sa dumalong presidential aspirants.
