It's one sizzling update for ‘Dyesebel’ as four of its hunkiest stars share what's been happening with their characters on the show. Have you been watching the show? Text and Photos by Jason John S. Lim; with Additional Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio "I want power." Luis Alandy plays Gildo, a man whose only goal is to control Juan Fredo Empire. And this past week, it seems that his dreams are about to come true; because Don Juan (as portrayed by Ricky Davao) has given the keys of his empire to the able hands of Gildo. "'Yung character ni Gildo ngayon medyo nage-evolve na," Luis shares, adding that Gildo used to be all business, all the time. But with the introduction of the model search, Cassandra's subsequent appearance, and now Dyesebel's own transformation, it seems Gildo is about to have more to do with the main storyline. "Eventually," the actor muses. "Somewhere along the way, I'll meet Dyesebel—who knows what will happen." Previously, the height of Gildo's competition with Fredo reached a head when both men vied for the attention of Cassandra. But whilst Fredo's adoration was based on blind love alone, Luis explains that Gildo only wanted Cassandra for himself because he wanted power. "Kasi ang feeling ko, ako 'yung nagsimula ng ad, tapos si Fredo 'yung makikinabang. Doon nagkakaroon ng competition between us." Of course, Gildo wasn't the only one feeling animosity against Fredo. Love of his life Erebus, the character that Alfred Vargas portrays, is a martyr. For him to have legs and prove to Dyesebel how much he loved her, he traded his own life. "Si Dyesebel, nung nagkaroon siya ng paa, ‘yung kapalit nun ‘yung mukha niya. Yung sa kapalit sa akin, mas mabigat pa doon." stars Now, his remaining time is running out, yet he maintains to be the one she needs—just not the one she wants. "Ipaglalaban ko ang lahat, gagawin ko ang lahat just to fulfill my love for her." Alfred's character had crossed the seas, gone to land—and even walked into fire, just so he could fulfill his love for Dyesebel. “The love of his life is Dyesebel,” Alfred defends. The actor says he likes what Dyesebel is showing to its viewers, "dito natin makikita 'yung different ways that we could fight for love." He says that each one of us have our own missions in life, and it doesn't always jive with other people—but you’ll still have to take them into consideration. "Feeling ko 'yun 'yung pinaka-lesson niya: you have to fight for your love, but is it worth hurting others?" One character doesn't agree with this outlook though: Fredo. Intense revelations Cassandra caused a rift between Fredo and Isabel, but the impostor also proved to Fredo what he really felt for Isabel. Unfortunately for the star-crossed lovers, it still wasn't meant to be. Cassandra's disguise has been revealed, and now Berbola will stop at nothing to make Fredo hers. "Maraming revelations ang mangyayari," Dingdong Dantes teases. He adds that if the viewers have noticed that things seem to be on repetitive cycle, especially the problems Dyesebel and Fredo has been facing, they should fret no more. "We’re here to shoot the really nice scenes for you to look forward to." But Fredo's heart doesn't just lie with Dyesebel. Even under Berbola's control, Fredo showed hints of compassion—for his sister, Sheila Mae. "Ako lang talaga ‘yung concerned sa kapatid ko," Dingdong says a matter-of-factly. That, of course, isn't exactly true. Love unknowingly requited Sheila Mae (as portrayed by Kris Bernal) has been spending her time with the love of her life, and though their lives were less than ideal, they were happy. Until Mark (as portrayed by Hero Angeles) got into an accident and Diding (as portrayed by Rhea Nakpil) entered the scene. "Bumalik si Paolo sa family niya," Aljur Abrenica begins. He says that he gets into a confused state of mind, with regards to his family, his plans of going abroad, and his love for Sheila Mae. "In love eh. Kahit saktan siya ng ilang beses, kapag in love, tama pa rin [ang kahit ano]. Wwalang mali sa ginagawa niya." The young actor does say that Paolo will quickly learn about Diding’s involvement in Sheila Mae's decision to leave Paolo. But as for when exactly that would happen, he says, "Basta abangan nila."
