With the economy gradually reopening, so are cultural and heritage sites found around the country.

One example is the National Museum of the Philippines which will be reopening its doors to the public starting today, October 19.

This means that visitors can now access the three repositories - National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and the National Museum of Natural History - stationed within its complex at Rizal Park in Manila.

It's worth noting though that only fully vaccinated guests with vaccination IDs will be admitted.

Health and safety protocols like social distancing and wearing of face masks and face shields will still be strictly observed.

A limit of 100 visitors per museum, per session will also be enforced.

Here are the booking guidelines when visiting the National Museum of the Philippines:

• Visitors are required to reserve online at least a day before the visit. To book a slot, visit the website www.nationalmuseum.gov.ph and click “book a tour.”
• Confirmation of booking will be sent through email.
• Group reservations are limited to five (5) persons only.
• Walk-in visitors will not be accommodated.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (cut-off time at 11:00 a.m.) for morning bookings and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (cut-off time at 3:00 p.m.) in the afternoon.
