Mark Sheehan, the guitarist of the Irish band The Script, passed away on April 14, 2023, at 46 following a brief, undiclosed illness.
In the official Facebook page of The Script, the group announced the passing of one of its founding members.
The caption read, "Much loved husband, father, brother, band mate and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness. The family and group ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time."
Mark Sheehan, together with frontman Danny O'Donoghue and drummer Glen Power, formed The Script in 2001.
Some of the hit singles of The Script are "Breakeven," "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," and "Hall Of Fame."
Mark was married to Reena Sheehan, and they have three children together.
The Script was just in Manila last year for their Greatest HIt Tour.
Rest in peace, Mark.
