pambansang muziklaban 2026

The country's longest-running battle of the bands is back for its 2026 season to give indie acts a shot at the ₱1-million grand prize and OPM stardom.

Are you ready to take your sound from the garage to the big stage?

Fresh off an explosive 2025 season that saw hundreds of local talents battle it out for rock supremacy, Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban is officially gearing up for a brand-new season for 2026—and the search for the next ultimate OPM champion is officially on!

Bands from every corner of the Philippines are once again invited to step up and stake their claim. From nationwide screenings to intense elimination rounds, aspiring musicians will undergo a true gauntlet of rock to prove they have what it takes to be crowned this year's champion.

Whether your sound leans into heavy metal rock, alternative, punk rock, reggae, or anything in between, the competition is opening its doors to all Filipino bands with members aged 21 to 45 years old.

How much is the grand prize money for winning the Muziklaban?

In this year's competition, the stakes are higher than ever. Beyond the immense bragging rights and stepping into the national spotlight, the Grand Champion will take home a cool ₱1,000,000.00 cash prize and secure a permanent spot in the legendary roster of Muziklaban champions.

For over two decades, the country's longest-running battle-of-the-bands competition has served as the premier launchpad for iconic Filipino acts. Since stepping into the local scene in 1999, the competition has birthed rock royalty, including the likes of Mayonnaise (2004 Grand Champion), Ibarra (formerly Hardboiledeggz), Even, Hatankaru, and Light of Luna.

Just last season, Davao's very own Tamad Si Juan conquered the stage to take home top honors, beating out fellow finalists VDS, Baguio Gold Music, Hilo, and Themata. The epic grand finale culminated in a massive celebration of Pinoy music, sharing the stage with rock giants such as Greyhoundz, Wilabaliw, Urbandub, Mayonnaise, Kjwan, Razorback, Typecast, Chocolate Factory, and Setsuna.

Now, the stage is set for a new set of trailblazers to rise.
