The Voice Kids grand winner Nevin Garceniego felt over the moon after meeting the reigning The Voice USA champion Sofronio Vasquez.
The child singer had the chance to rub elbows and have a photo opportunity with the US-based Filipino crooner when the latter visited GMA studios.
"Dati sa YouTube ko lang siya napapanood, ngayon nakilala at nakausap ko na siya," Nevin wrote in his Facebook reel.
Sofronio made history as the first-ever Asian and Filipino to have ever won The Voice USA back in September. He received the majority of votes from America, winning US$100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group.
He is in the country to do a series of shows.
Last Monday, January 6, he returned to It's Showtime where he previously joined its singing competition 'Tawag ng Tanghalan.' During his guest appearance in the noontime show, Sofronio received the Special Commendation Award from Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM).
He is also set to stage a concert at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on January 18.
On Wednesday, January 8, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. welcomed Sofronio during a courtesy call at the President's Hall in Malacañan Palace.
