Sa episode ng Trggrd, nagbigay ng pahayag si Thea. Ayon sa aktres, "I think it was on our second or third day. We already saw na parang there was a video circulating, but we didn't really think much of it at first until we got back sa Manila. And then, we saw how viral it had gotten and parang lumaki na siya nang lumaki."

Dugtong pa ni Thea, sila ay magkaibigan lang ni Elijah.

"Parang it was just taken out of context na kasi there was a video tapos biglang naging screenshots na where 'pag 'yung screenshots lang talaga 'yung tinignan mo, mapapaisip ka talaga that Jelo (Elijah) was like holding my hand or something like that. But I just want to be clear that Elijah and I are friends. Like we've been friends for years now at this point, and I would never go on a trip like that if, like, alam mo 'yun."

Paglilinaw ng Kapuso star, hindi siya third party.

"I've never cheated on anyone. I've never been the third party in any relationship to my knowledge."

Inilahad din ni Thea na naiintindihan niya ang mga fans nina Elijah at Miles Ocampo.

"I understand the parasocial relationship. I understand 'yung fans nilang dalawa, especially they've been in the business for a long time. They've seen these two grow up. They've been a part of it 'di ba? Gets ko 'yung mga fans e na feeling they feel invested in the relationship. Kasi sinuportahan nila 'yung dalawa, and nakita nila paano nag-blossom 'yung relationship ng dalawa through the years and then to suddenly parang I here I come na parang threat to that bond."

Saad pa ni Thea, totoong magkaibigan lang sila ni Elijah.

"I just want to be clear that I'm just friends with Elijah, and I would never do that to another girl. I know what that's like. I know what that feeling is like. I would never ever willingly come between a relationship. Never. I would never do that."

Dugtong pa ng Kapuso star, umaasa siyang maintindihan din siya ng mga tao dahil naapektuhan din siya ng mga pangyayari.

"Gets ko. Gets ko 'yung pain ng mga fan. But also, I hope that you could- naiiyak tuloy ako. Like, I also hope that you could give me a little bit of grace, like to see the things that I'm being called on the internet kind of hurts too. Like to be called like kabit or malandi. And just to see also my parents' reactions to seeing some of the comments, parang I also feel hurt for them. To see that I'm being called these names when it's not true."

Paglilinaw pa ni Thea, noong una ay ayaw niya sanang magbigay ng pahayag, pero natutunan niya na minsan ay kailangan din na magsalita tungkol sa issue.

"I like just kind of held off on, like, talking about it kasi parang inisip ko, like maybe if I just let it pass. Like it'll just die on its own, and it it has, it has kind of dissipated already. Pero, I think I'm also learning right now na maybe sometimes it is better to speak."
