Attention cat lovers! If you're looking for a pet, an adoption event will happen this weekend.

There are thousands, if not, millions of stray cats roaming around the country. Most of these cats were abandoned and left fending for themselves on the streets.

Although there are animal shelters in the Philippines that rescue stray cats, the number of stray animals continues to grow. While most of these organizations try to spay and neuter these animals to control the population, a lot of these cats and dogs need homes.

Animal shelter Pawssion Project has partnered with The Gift of Furever Home corporate social responsibility program of Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club to conduct an adoption event called "Barrio FURRiesta, MEOWsaya."

This is the second adoption event put together of the two organizations. This will happen at Robinsons Magnolia on Saturday, July 24.

This event will exclusively feature 14 adorable cats ready for adoption plus a fun-fair of pet items, accessories, and affordable pet services.

While felines might appear intimidating and snub at first, they actually turn out to be sweet, smart and loving companions. Adopters will discover that having a cat can lessen stress and anxiety and bring them a more pawsitive outlook in life.

These rescue puspins, who are in need of a furever home, will be at event venue for prospective adopters and pet lovers to see and interact with.

A pet parade around the mall, showcasing these gentle creatures, will officially start the event, followed by a series of interviews for prospective pet parents at 3:00 p.m.

The event will also offer low-cost anti-rabies vaccination and microchipping, two of the most essential procedures to keep furbabies healthy and safe.

Furparents will also be delighted with a variety of cool pet merchandise available for sale during the event. What's more, pet parents and adopter candidates can win special raffle prizes just by participating in the pet adoption event and purchasing goodies.
