Unang teleserye ni beauty queen-turned-actress Thia Thomalla ang upcoming GMA Telebabad series na The Gift.

Makakasama niya dito si Kapuso actor at Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, pati na ang iba pang bigating Kapuso stars at respetadong mga aktor tulad nina Jean Garcia, Joe Berry, Elizabeth Oropesa, Mikee Quintos, at Martin del Rosario.

Dahil baguhan siyang aktres, handa daw siyang harapin ang hamon ng pagiging bahagi ng isang primetime series.

"I can say I'm ready naman for whatever is coming my way. I'm wholeheartedly open for all the challenges and advices na ibibigay sa akin," pahayag ni Thia.

Nakatulong din daw ang The Gift kay Thia dahil may naranasan siyang isang malaking pagsubok kamakailan.

"In all honesty kasi, The Gift is a gift of my life. My brother passed away four months ago. I had difficulties in adjusting and pulling myself out of the darkness," kuwento niya.

Dahil dito, nag-alangan daw siyang subukan ang isang heavy drama series.

"When this project came my way, I told my handlers I'm gonna do the screen test, I'm gonna try but let's not expect anything in return kasi I don't want any heartfelt feelings right now. I don't think I am ready to handle those emotions," aniya.

Pero nagbago daw ito nang matanggap na siya bilang bahagi ng cast ng serye.

Thia Thomalla recalls crying when she found out about her inclusion in 'The Gift'

"When I got the call that tanggap daw [ako], it pulled me out and it gave me motivation and determination to be better as a person.

"It reminded me that I am here, alive because my brother wasn't able to. This is because of him. I'm gonna be a better person every single day because of him," bahagi ni Thia.

Gananap siya sa The Gift bilang si Faith, ang tinaguriang "Prinsesa ng Divisoria" at anak ng may-ari ng malaking telehan.

Abangan siya sa world premiere ng The Gift, September 16, pagkatapos ng Beautiful Justice sa GMA Telebabad.
