It takes one queen to recognize another one, and that is exactly what Thia Thomalla, Miss Eco International 2018, did as a judge for the recently concluded Miss World Philippines 2022 coronation night.

In a message, the First Lady cast member congratulated the new titleholders and tasked them with representing the country in the “best authentic way possible.”

“I want to congratulate the candidates for giving a good fight especially during the Q and A round. Everyone was brilliant, and their advocacies were heard! This is only the start for something greater!” she wrote.

She continued, “To the new Queens, represent your country the best authentic way possible! The whole Philippines will be cheering for you!”

The Miss World Philippines 2022 pageant coronation night, held last Sunday, June 5, saw Gwendolyne Fourniol emerge victorious over the other candidates. Gwendolyne also took home the awards for Best in Evening Gown as well as the Beach Body competition.

The rest of the crowned queens are Cassandra Bermeo Chan as Miss World Philippines Charity and second princess, Justine Beatrice Felizarta as Miss World Philippines Tourism, Beatriz McLelland as Miss Eco Teen Philippines, and Maria Ingrid Santamaria as Miss Reina Hispanoamerica. Ashley Subijano Montenegro and Alison Black were also crowned as Miss Eco Philippines and Miss Supranational Philippines, respectively.

All the queens crowned during Miss World Philippines 2022 coronation night went through a number of challenges, such as the Santacruzan-themed national costume competition and the beach body competition.
