Crash Landing on You? More like, Crash Lockdown on You!
When boredom strikes, creativity definitely kicks in!
And for this family of seven, no lockdown can stop them from recreating scenes from the hit K-drama series Crash Landing on You.
In a post made by Edflyn Sulit, she and her whole family recreated Captain Ri and Se Ri's first meeting in lieu of their parents' 25th wedding anniversary.
According to her post, she titled the whole album as “'Crash Lockdown on You' - a 25th Anniversary Special.”
Her parents, Edwin Sulit and Lynette Sulit, play the titular role of Captain Ri and Yoon Se Ri, while Edflyn and her siblings Swift, Kent, and Lyndon play the North Korean soldiers Pyo Chi Su, Kim Ju Muk, Park Kwang Beom, and Geum Eun Dong.
In a Facebook private message, Edflyn shared exclusively with GMANetwork.com that it was actually her parents' idea to recreate the iconic scene.
“I watched CLOY with my boyfriend even before this enhanced community quarantine and have been recommending it to my mom, but she was busy with work.
“When the quarantine happened, we finally had time to watch it with the entire family. Obviously, they caught the CLOY fever as well.
“As to how my parents reacted to the idea, it's funny because the idea actually came from them! It was their 25th wedding anniversary last March 31st and since we can't go out due to the lockdown, they decided to just do a fun photo shoot instead.
“The whole production was done in the area around our house, and all the costumes and props used were materials we found around our home. It's not even a low-cost CLOY version, it costs nothing at all!
“We just wanted to have fun and bond as a family, and see who among our parents' friends can relate to CLOY to prove that even titos and titas are not immune to the CLOY fever,” she concluded.
Crash Landing on You tells the story of a South Korean heiress named Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) who crash lands in North Korea and meets elite soldier Captain Ri (Hyun Bin).
The series aired on tvN and on Netflix worldwide from December 2019 until February 2020. It is the highest-rated tvN drama and the second-highest rated Korean drama in cable television history.
