Ana Agra was never chubby as a kid but gained weight during her college years.
She gained even more weight when she started working.
"Nag-work ako sa call center. Iba kasi 'yung lifestyle sa call center. Puyat ka. After ng shift mo, merong buffet.
Ana--now 35 years old--weighed 173 lbs, had a waistline of 43 inches and wore 3XL clothing. With her height of just 5'2", her body mass index was classified as obese class 2.
Because of this, she always wore black clothing as the color is said to be slimming. She also wore her hair long to hide her chubby cheeks.
An insensitive comment from a relative served as her wake up call.
"Nag research ako, nag-Internet ako, nag-Google ako kung ano 'yung pinaka mura, pinaka madali at pinaka effective na way para magpapayat," Ana shares.
She removed rice from her diet and replaced it with a boiled egg or saging na saba. She also developed her her own workout based on research and slowly bought her own equipment.
After one year and four months, Ana now weighs 126 lbs. Her waistline measures 27 inches and her BMI has become normal.
