Dennis, Nadine and Iwa are the love triangle heating up the television screens.
In Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap, Dennis Trillo, Iwa Moto, and Nadine Samonte give life to the undisputed power of the love triangle- a method used to tease, hook and engage audiences across cultures. Both are no strangers to the love triangle system. They know that with one handsome guy, there are always two girls vying for his attention - typically one good, one bad. In Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap, Nadine is Catherine, the good but ready to fight girl. "Palaban" is the word Nadine uses to describe her character. She adds, "'Pag nakikita kong mali, tinigtignan ko kung bakit ganoon." Audiences can indeed attest that her character is not the usual "api" role that Filipinos are used to. Catherine is feisty and smart. Maybe that is the reason why Stan, (Rostan) played by Dennis Trillo is so in love with her. Dennis has this to say about Stan, "protective siya, malambing. 'Pag nag-aaway sila ni Catherine, susuyuin niya." The Third Wheel Stan is sweet and adorable. It is no wonder that Rita, portrayed by Iwa Moto, is also smitten with him. And, with his passion and devotion for Catherine, can we really blame Rita? Rita is scheming and equally as fiesty. She is definitely a match for Catherine. If she has what it takes to steal Stan's heart is something only time will tell. Iwa Moto believes that this character is her biggest break so far. She is doing all her best to, well, make people hate her. That is, her character, Rita. However, Iwa stresses that she is different from Rita. "Kasi sobrang, sobrang ipinapasa ko iyong sarili ko doon sa character" she answers but quickly clarifies, "pero hindi naman ako ganoon ka-kontrabida sa totoong buhay!" With the talent of these three young actors, the Catherine, Rita and Stan love triangle, has been revived as the epitome of lovers in a tangle.
