'Dading' star Gabby Eigenmann was not the first straight actor to portray a gay role. Who else could have done it?

As GMA offers its newest Afternoon Prime drama series Dading, Unang Hirit takes us down memory lane to see how veteran actors portrayed their gay roles.
 
Tirso Cruz III was a drag queen named Sarsi in I Heart You Pare.

Bembol Roco donned a wig for his transvestite role as Anya in Beauty Queen.
 
Michael de Mesa portrayed fierce but fabulous drag queen Letlet in Magpakailanman’s "The Raging Divas Story."

Tirso Cruz III, Bembol Roco and Michael de Mesa were all known for their strong and macho roles, but their portrayal of a homosexual were more remarkable in the industry. They were also identified by Gabby Eigenmann as the actor’s inspiration for his challenging title role as Dading.
