Tiana Kocher hopes to work again with SB19 Josh in the future.

Singer-songwriter Tiana Kocher is happy to have worked with SB19 member Josh Cullen for the the music video of MassKara Festival 2024.

The two music artists lend their voices to sing the theme song of the most-awaited festival in Bacolod this year. They also appeared in its music video, which Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo's G Productions produced.

“I think we absolutely smashed it,” Tiana described her and SB19 Josh's stint in the said music video.

She added, “I really love how the video and the song came out, Josh is really talented and I love the flair and energy he brought into the song and video.”

Tiana further said about the song, “I think the song captures the essence of the Masskara Festival perfectly, it's very upbeat, bright, and lively just like the festival! I love the use of English and Hiiligaynon lyrics to also reach a broader audience. The production is also so grand, just like the festival! It's truly such a well-thought-out theme song.”

Unfortunately, she and Josh filmed the music video separately “due to conflicting schedules.”

So, if given an opportunity, Tiana said she would love to work again with SB19 Josh.

She said, “I would love to have the opportunity to work with Josh again, whether it be working on a collaboration or writing with him and SB19!”

Tiana also expressed gratitude for allowing her to do this project.

“I was truly so honored!” she exclaimed.

“One of my biggest goals in life is to show the rest of the world what the Philippines has to offer. Considering the majority of my audience is based in North and South America, I'm so proud to show them a little piece of my heritage.”

The singer-songwriter confessed the Hiligaynon parts of the song was challenging for her. However, she said, “To be honest, I wish there were more Hiligaynon phrases! I really love learning about new cultures and dialects and would've loved the challenge of singing more lyrics in Hiligaynon! To me the lyrics show how proud the people of Bacolod are to be from the city that's considered the city of smiles!”

Tiana also revealed, “The Masskara theme song is the first project I ever recorded in the Philippines and also the first song I recorded that includes a Filipino dialect. I'm looking forward to making some original music of mine in Tagalog and would also love to collaborate with local artists and producers. The Philippines has truly some of the most talented and creative people in the world and it would be nice to share that with the rest of the world.”

Meanwhile, Tiana is excited to visit Bacolod to join the MassKara Festival on October 27.

The LA-based Pinay singer said, “I'm very excited to meet new people, eat good food, and of course, really excited to watch a lot of the Masskara and artist performances! I've actually never been to a festival in the Philippines so being invited to sing the theme song and to attend one of the biggest festivals nationwide is a very pinch-me moment!”
