Mama Lulu on the P500 Noche Buena budget: "Magbastusan na tayo kung sa isip nila kasya 'yun..."
TikTok-famous Pinay mom Mama Lulu and her daughter Apple shared their honest thoughts on the PhP 500 budget for Noche Buena.
The PhP 500 figure comes from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which claims that the said amount is sufficient for a basic Noche Buena meal for a small family this year.

In a video released by Mama Lulu's son, Oliver, she expressed that it was humiliating to think that this budget would be enough for a proper Noche Buena meal.
"Magbastusan na tayo kung sa isip nila kasya 'yun. Pamasahe nga hindi kasya 'yun tapos sasabihin nila sa pagkain ng pamilya kasya 'yun?"
She added, "Wala na nga silang naitutulong sa taong bayan, ibinubulsa na lang nila lahat ng pera tapos harap harapan pa nilang ******** ngayon. Ano'ng mabibili mo doon? Pansit, pero walang sahog."

Mama Lulu claimed it was possible if the prices matched those from the year she was born.
"Siguro noong ipinanganak ako kasya 'yun, may sukli pa."
Mama Lulu suggested that the government consider giving Filipino families PhP 10,000.
"Alam mo dapat kung magkano ang ibibigay sa isang pamilya? Sampung libo bawat isang pamilya nang makasagap naman ng kasaganaan ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino."
In a new video, Oliver shared Apple's thoughts on the criticized Noche Buena meal.
She said, "Pwede talaga, pero hanggang kailan ka magtitiis? Lahat na nga tiniis mo e, walang health care na maganda, tiniis mo 'yan, pagkain titiisin mo rin? Edukasyon titiisin mo rin?"
Apple continued, "Ilan pang basic na pangangailangan ng tao ang titiisin mo?"
