
Tito Jackson, one of the original members of the iconic pop group The Jackson 5 (later known as The Jacksons), has sadly passed away at the age of 70 on September 15, 2024.
The heartbreaking news was shared on Instagram by Tito's children: Taj, Taryll, and TJ. Accompanied by photos of their father, they wrote, "It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us."
In their tribute, they expressed their deep sorrow and paid homage to Tito Jackson's legacy. "We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as 'Coach Tito' or some know him as 'Poppa T.' Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be 'Tito Time' for us," they wrote.
They concluded their message with a heartfelt reminder, "Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love One Another.' We love you Pops."
Fans and friends have been pouring in tributes to the legendary singer across social media. Celebrities and music artists such as Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett, Shar Jackson, Jodi Gomes, and Yvette Nicole Brown, have expressed their condolences and sympathy to the family.
Tito Jackson was a founding member of The Jackson 5 along with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, The family group achieved immense fame in the late 1960s and 1970s with hit songs like "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save," and "I'll Be There."
Tito Jackson was nominated for three Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as a member of The Jackson 5.
