Father Fiel Pareja and Father Joey Faller

Get to know Father Fiel Pareja, the 'Father TikToker' of Pampanga and 'Healing Priest' Father Joey Faller on 'Tunay na Buhay.'

For Tunay na Buhay's Holy Week Special, the spotlight will be put on two extraordinary Catholic priests who have both used the internet to continue their evangelical and healing missions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

These amazing priest are Father Fiel Pareja, also known as the 'Father TikToker' of Pampanga, and the 'Healing Priest' of Lucban, Quezon, Father Joey Faller.

Father Fiel Pareja was newly ordained when the community quarantine was first enforced in March of 2020.

So, he had to think of ways on how he can stay connected with the people in their parish.

This is when Father Fiel had a light bulb moment and started to do his evangelical work online via the popular video sharing app, TikTok.

There he shares Bible verses and prayers and creates motivational videos.

It's been a year after the quarantine began and Father Fiel now has 1.1 million followers on the said platform.

As for 'Healing Priest' Father Joey Faller, he also had to pivot into online healing masses amid the lingering quarantine period.

Every year, devotees and hopefuls flock to the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church in Lucban, Quezon to attend Father Joey's healing masses.

But just like most events or religious gatherings, the healing masses needed to be temporarily ceased when the quarantine period began.

Mass gatherings are prohibited during the quarantine period in order to curb the spread of COVID-19.

So, the ongoing health crisis had prompted Father Joey to conduct his healing masses online.

And even though it is done virtually, many believers attest that Father Joey's online healing masses are just as effective as the ones he used to conduct in person.

Get to know more about these inspiring Catholic priests and their exceptional response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the special Holy Week presentation of Tunay na Buhay, hosted by Pia Arcangel, this Wednesday, March 31, 11:30 P.M. on GMA-7's Power Block.
