Kapuso Action-Drama Prince Ruru Madrid and Yassi Pressman are the lead stars of the film project 'Video City,' which is a collaboration between GMA Pictures and Viva Films.
It's good to be back!
This was the sentiment echoed by actress-dancer Yassi Pressman as she will be paired with Kapuso Action-Drama Prince Ruru Madrid in the upcoming movie Video City - a collaboration between GMA Pictures and Viva Films.
It can be remembered that Yassi started her career as a Kapuso and starred in the hit youth-oriented show Tween Hearts.
She told in an interview with “Chika Minute” that this project is an exciting one saying, “It's an honor of course, napaka-exciting po nu'ng mga bagong nagtatambal ngayon. Coming from dating different worlds to now, we are all collaborating. It's a very nice time for the entertainment industry.”
Meanwhile, GMA First Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan also hinted that Video City is just one of the many projects that they will be doing with Viva.
“We are very happy this is just going to be a series of the materials that we are going to be collaborating with Viva and GMA Pictures.
“So, ito mukhang mas mauuna ito,” said Abacan adding that working again with Yassi Pressman is such a joy.
“We are also going to be doing something very soon pero we are very happy na si Yassi kasi, galing naman 'yan sa GMA 'yan, e. Anak-anakan ko 'yan, so para bang natutuwa naman ako that you know we are going to do something again. And, natutuwa ako because at least you know this is going to be a start of what we are going to be doing with Viva.”
This early, Yassi is also looking forward to reuniting with her former co-stars in Tween Hearts like Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, to name a few.
She said, “Sixteen, seventeen years old. Twenty-eight na ako kahapon, it's gonna be nice to see sila Barbie [Forteza] again. Si Bea [Binene] po nakikita po namin sa Viva. Sila Rocco 'yan po 'yung mga ka-close ko po talaga before. Sila Winwyn [Marquez], may mga babies na sila like they've grown so much as well. So, I'm excited to see them.”
Versatile actor Ruru Madrid also shared with “Chika Minute” that is eager to work with Yassi as his leading lady for the first time
“Nagkatrabaho na kami ni Yassi before, pero never pa kami nagkaroon ng chance na kami talaga 'yung magkapartner sa isang show or pelikula. So, ngayon na nakita ko rin 'yung growth ni Yassi as an actress, siyempre gusto-gusto ko siya maka-work,” shared Ruru.
