KPop girl group TWICE is embarking on a new journey as they sign with US label Republic Records.
The great news was announced by Billboard saying that the Korean entertainment agency JYP Entertainment and Republic Records have reached an agreement for a "strategic partnership."
And of all the artists under JYP--including GOT7, ITZY, and 2PM--it was the girl group who was chosen to frontline the new partnership.
Based on the write-up, JYP CEO Jimmy Jeong is happy with the new alliance and hopes "to present the next level of K-pop to fans all around the world."
Republic Records founder and CEO Monte Lipman also shared his excitement with teaming up with the label.
He said, "The organization's vision and groundbreaking achievements have placed them at the forefront of popular culture.
"We are thrilled to partner with such a dynamic team of executives and their amazing artists, including multi-platinum global superstars TWICE."
TWICE is a South Korean girl group under JYP Entertainment through the reality show Sixteen. The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Tzuyu, Sana, Jihyo, Dahyun, Chayeong, and Mina.
They've rocked the Korean music scene with their single "Cheer Up" in 2016.
They've been to the Philippines last June 29, 2019 during the concert "Fancy You" concert.
Just last December, the girl group was announced as the latest endorser of local clothing brand, BENCH/.
