Elisia: 'I wanted to try a certain Filipino trend these days.'
Gehlee and Elisia of the K-pop girl group UNIS showed their Filipino side again after they hopped on the “Maui Wowie” trend.
In the video, Elisia sang the chorus of the 2008 track by Kid Cudi while Gehlee stood and acted as the bar for her co-member to hang onto.
Elisia posted her and Gehlee's video on the online platform Weverse DM, “I wanted to try a certain Filipino trend these days, but I tried it with Gehlee unnie. lol. What do you think?”

The “Maui Wowie” took over online platforms in the latter part of the year, and became more popular when It's Showtime host Darren Espanto performed it on a Sunday musical-variety show.
Netizens noted Darren's vocals, which added a new flavor to the song, alongside his captivating choreography that elevated the already-viral track.
Filipino fans showed their love for Elisia and Gehlee's take on the “Maui Wowie” trend, while Darren reposted the viral video on his X account.
Elisia and Gehlee are Filipino talents who debuted in 2024 as part of the K-pop girl group UNIS with half-Filipino Hyeonju, Nana, Kotoko, Yunha, Yoona, and Seowon.
