Rhian Ramos marks nearly two decades in showbiz and reaffirms her loyalty to GMA Network

From her magnetic screen presence to her fearless versatility, the Infinite Star and homegrown Kapuso Rhian Ramos has consistently proven that she's not just part of the industry, she's shaping it. And on August 12, Rhian marks nearly two decades in showbiz and reaffirms her loyalty to GMA Network through a contract signing.

Joining Rhian at this significant event were GMA executives and signatories: President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, and Officer-in-Charge for the Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy. Also present to seal the deal was Rhian's manager, Michael B. Uycoco.

The ceremony was also attended by Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA New Media, Inc. President and Chief Operating Officer Dingdong Caharian, and Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions of the Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara.

Other Kapuso executives who graced the event included Consultant for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions Darling de Jesus-Bodegon, Vice President for Program Management Department Mitzi Garcia, Assistant Vice President for Drama Helen Rose S. Sese, Assistant Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions Ruth Mariñas, and Assistant Vice President for Corporate Communications Jojo Aquio.

Rhian's striking presence never fails to linger, shaping memorable characters over the years. From her TV debut in Captain Barbell to her beloved role in Stairway to Heaven, her groundbreaking portrayal in The Rich Man's Daughter, and her award-winning performance in Royal Blood, Rhian is a Kapuso icon through and through.

This year, she is making waves as the icy villainess Kera Mitena in the hit Kapuso series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre.

Grateful for GMA's support over the past two decades, Rhian shares, “I'm just lucky that GMA keeps giving me really iconic roles that are so well-written. There's so much you can do with them. Each and every role is a dream come true for so many girls out there, yet you give me that opportunity. I'm so infinitely grateful to all of you.”

Meanwhile, Duavit praises Rhian's talent and loyalty, "From a number of drama roles to hosting reality, musical, and lifestyle shows throughout these years, Rhian has not shown anything but versatility, professionalism, and loyalty. She is a fine example to all of us and Rhian makes us very proud.”

Yalong, on the other hand, highlights Rhian's current role as Mitena, “I have seen how Rhian transformed from where she started up to now in her character in 'Sang'gre.' Her portrayal of Mitena is so powerful that she becomes the talk of the Internet and that helps the program so much. Thank you for signing up again with GMA.”

Gozon-Valdes also underscores how Rhian is not only a great actress but also a great person. “Naalala ko teenanger ka pa lang nu'ng nakita kita sa isang commercial and then the rest is history. You've gone such a long way. You're one of our best actresses now. But what I admire the most about you is that you keep living out your faith. You were a strong Christian from the start until now. Thank you for trusting GMA again. We'll always be here for you.”

Moreover, Ching-Sy expresses excitement to be working with Rhian in the upcoming years, “Thank you for choosing to remain a Kapuso once again. Isa kang natatanging Kera (queen) hindi lamang sa 'Encantadia' kundi dito rin sa GMA at sa mga puso ng manonood. I've seen your growth as an artist, and I can proudly say that you are one of this generation's best actresses. Please continue to grow and be an inspiration to other people.”
