The truth is finally out: Dennis Trillo is the father of Carlene Aguilar’s baby. In an exclusive interview with Showbiz Central, the primetime star admitted that baby Calix Andrea, born this past September 22, 2007 in LA California, is his son.
Dennis had been repeatedly linked to the 2005 Miss World Finalist, but the two never admitted their affair publicly. It was only yesterday that he explained the truth behind their relationship: “Kami ni Carlene, matagal pinagsamahan namin; matagal ko siyang naging girlfriend, siguro mga four to five years. Ngayon, medyo hirap communication namin, hirap kaming makapagusap.”

Before Carlene left for the United States, she made it clear to Dennis that she wanted to keep her pregnancy private. “Maraming kasunduan; nag-request siya sa akin na gusto niyang manahimik,” said Dennis, which explains why he avoided the topic as much as he could in the past, even to the extent of denying that he is the father of the baby. “As much as possible, ayaw niyang mabanggit 'yung pangalan niya sa kahit anong interviews, kaya yun ang ginagawa ko, pag ini-interview ako bilang respect dahil nagpunta siya sa Amerika para manahimik, di ba?”
But when GMA News reporter Lhar Santiago spotted a very pregnant Carlene during his visit to the States, the media was a-buzz once again.
After Carlene gave birth to the 7.2-pound healthy baby boy, the “Funfare” section of
The Philippine Star reported that based on information from a Filipino nurse working in the hospital, the surname of the baby, as listed in the birth certificate, is Ho, Dennis Trillo’s real last name. (His full name is Dennis Abelardo Ho).
New dad
Now that the news is out, how does this onscreen heartthrob feel?
“Pakiramdam ko, mas magkakaroon na ako ng peace of mind, kasi hindi ko naman yan maitatago habang buhay, and talagang dumarating sa (buhay) ng isang tao yun, (ang) pagkakaroon ng anak,” he said.
He clarified that his relationship with Carlene is “malabo” and “komplikado” at this time, but stressed that he will embrace his responsibilities fully, and is willing to make amends with Carlene’s parents as well, for the sake of his baby.
Dennis ended his
Keep then faith.”
