It was a night of celebration and appreciation for some lucky Fanatxt-ers last August 30 as they were treated by their celebrity textmates.
It was a night of celebration and appreciation for some lucky Fanatxt-ers last August 30 as they were treated to a night of bonding, fun and games with their celebrity textmates. Jimmy's Bar and Grill in Timog Avenue was the chosen venue to mark Fanatxt's fifth year anniversary and, as expected, both fans and celebrities alike had an all around blast with sizzling performances from the stars, games, prizes and surprises throughout the night. The 40 Fanatxt subscribers invited that night were chosen from more than a total of 200,000 nationwide, therefore, they were real happy to have been fortunate enough to take part in the revelry and at the same time bond with their favorite stars. Hosted by Kim Idol of Zirkoh Comedy Bar and Buboy of Takeshi's Castle, the evening was just ideal for all-out enjoyment. Starting the evening right was a steamy number from the Sexbomb dancers led by Sexbomb Rochelle who also did a rap song afterwards to the audience's delight. This was then followed by games participated in by LJ Reyes, Stef Prescott and Chariz Solomon with chosen Fanatxt subscribers who danced and entertained everyone with side-splitting scenes and moments. Of course, a number of lucky subscribers, in a raffle, got to win cool prizes such as cellular phones and music and karaoke players. A couple of bands added to the night's festivities belting out the latest club hits. On hand as well, were Aljur Abrenica and Dion Ignacio who entertained the Fanatext-ers with their own song numbers. Jolina Magdangal, the first artist to have been a part of Fanatxt's roster of stars was also able take the time out to greet and have some moments with the privileged Fanatxt-ers. She even entertained the fans with a song while Mark Herras danced with another lucky fan. The Master Showman himself, German Moreno, also gave a few words of congratulations to the fans and for the five successful years of Fanatxt and its growing number of subscribers. As expected, it was a memorable time not only for the fortunate Fanatxt subscribers in attendance but also for the artists as well who appreciate getting to know their fans even before they have yet to meet them. Steph Prescott was more than happy to get to meet the fans, and also really grateful that she is in touch with them through text. "You get to communicate with your fans, even though parang hindi harap- harapan, at least they get [to know] a bit of your life. So fullfilling siya kapag nakikita nila na nagtetext ka tapos alam nila na ikaw talaga [when you finally meet them] kaya mas masaya." "Okay naman, nagpunta ako [sa kanila] welcome naman ako. Natuwa sila sa akin parang akong clown. Joke lang! Hindi, okey naman, mabait sila, malambing!" recalls Dion Ignacio describing his moment with the fans. Other artists on hand for the celebrations mingling with the lucky Fanatxt fans that night are JC DeVera, Rhian Ramos, Marky Cielo, Rainier Castillo, Vaness DelMoral, Lovi Poe and Arthur Solinap.
