"For my character—she has funnier moments, I think." Wait a minute, akala ko ba malungkot ang Pasko ni Iza? Let's back up a bit. Iza Calzado essays her role as Stephanie sa sequel ng very successful Desperadas movie. And this time around, she finally gets pregnant and gives birth—pero bakit malungkot pa rin siya? "I have post-partum depression, [and that] sets off a lot of things—a lot of funny, paranoid things in my life as Stephanie." Iza continues, "She's crazier this time around: selos ako ng selos, I feel so sad—" Iza will be the third of the Desperadas sisters to have a kid, at dahil dito, magkakaroon siya ng conflict with one of her sisters: si Patricia (played by Rufa Mae Quinto). Bukod dito, what else is new sa Desperadas? Iza says the cast is much more bonded now, at gusto niyang pasalamatan si Ogie Alcasid dahil dito. "Kasi parang siya talaga 'yung nagba-bond sa aming lahat." Dagdag pa ni Iza, there are more laugh-out-loud moments sa set with the addition of Ogie in the cast. And it also helps din na the Desperadas sisters have been together na last year—wala nang hiyaan. Outside of the movie, close rin ba sila? Iza says na muntik na silang lumabas ng kumpleto—but Marian Rivera had to take a rain check dahil sa dubbing. "Actually, ine-encourage siya ni Ate Ruffa [Gutierrez] na sumama na sa amin. Gusto niya, kaso meron siyang work. Hopefully sa [December] 19." Desperadas 2 hits cinemas beginning December 25, part of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival!
