Stef Prescott appears in her first Metro Manila Film Fest movie this year—and nang tanungin namin siya about the experience, isa lang ang masasabi niya: 'Nakakatakot!' Text and Photos by Jason John S. Lim, with an Interview by Erick Mataverde "Nakakatakot talaga siya," Stef Prescott says tungkol as experience niya with Shake, Rattle and Roll X. Ayon sa kanya, "'yung mga sigaw namin doon, totoong takot 'yun." Dagdag pa niya na the places they shot in were very creepy too. "Talagang nakakatakot siya. Hindi siya 'yung mga effects-effects lang. Nakakatakot talaga 'yung school na 'yun." Stef, like Prince Stefan, is part of the 'Class Picture' episode of this year's Shake, Rattle and Roll. And like him, she got to work with actors from a different network. "Actually, natuwa kami kasi doon lang namin sila nakasama." According to her, inakala raw nilang magkakailangan with the other cast members, "pero hindi. Pag nagkakilala [na] kayo, tsaka nag-usap naman kayo, [ayos naman]." She says na the cast members compared home network experiences. At tuwang-tuwa raw ang kanilang other-network comrades dahil hindi nila inakalang ganoon kabait ang mga taga-GMA. The class bonded well, to the point na, according to Stef, "kapag nakikita ko sila, chikahan talaga! Iba 'yung bonding kapag-alam mong kahit kailan hindi mo pa sila nakaka-trabaho. It's almost like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hindi once-in-a-lifetime ang susunod, but a first time for Stef: working with Topel Lee sa isang horror movie. Kung matatandaan, the two worked together before sa My Only Love. This time, "sobrang different; si Direk Topel nakita ko 'yung kung gaano talaga siya kagaling na direktor. Kasi hindi lang drama, hindi lang 'yung Kamandag 'di ba, 'yung mga action scenes [ng] Gagambino-- "Talagang ano siya: kaya niya lahat." Stef continues, "Sobrang galing niya sa takutan." Shake, Rattle and Roll X will be Stef's first foray into the horror genre—and sa movie pa. And Stef says na para sa fans niya, there will be something new to see from her: "Sa TV, puro ako 'yung nang-aapi. Ngayon naman, ako ang matatakot." And which scene is the scariest? Para naman ma-warning-an ang mga Kapuso. "Lahat ng eksena kasi nakakatakot eh. Talagang there's always a twist." She adds, "Abangan nila 'yung mga parts na hindi nila ine-expect.
