Described by Best Horror Movies’ The Horror Czar as “a trilogy all told in one supernatural thriller,” The Road will premiere on May 9 at the Hollywood Arclight Theater in California with boxing champ Manny Pacquiao as special guest host. It will be commercially released on May 11 in select cities across the United States.
 
The Yam Laranas film, which stars Carmina Villaroel, Rhian Ramos, TJ Trinidad, Barbie Forteza, Lexi Fernandez, Derrick Monasterio, Alden Richards, Louise de los Reyes, and Renz Valerio, also reached the number one spot of iTunes’ Top 25 Most Popular Trailers list last April 24.
 
Released in the Philippines on November 30, 2011,The Road tells the story of a twelve-year-old cold case that is reopened when three teenagers vanish while traversing an infamous and abandoned road. As investigators try to find leads to the whereabouts of the missing teens, they also unearth the road's gruesome past that spans two decades - a history of abduction, crimes and murders.
 
With all the attention and positive feedback given by the foreign press to this highly anticipated film, The Road will definitely be worth the wait. Make sure to catch its limited theatrical release in your city or via VOD and Netflix beginning May 11.
