Proud alumni of the UST Growling Tigers were in cloud nine after the men's basketball team emerged victorious in a close match against the UP Fighting Maroons on Wednesday, November 13.

UST completed a two-game sweep of their stepladder series against the Katipunan squad, winning 68-65. The Growling Tigers booked a place in the finals against defending champion Ateneo Blue Eagles of the UAAP Season 82 men's basketball tournament

Celebrity graduates from the España-based school were thrilled with the performance of the basketball team, including GMA News pillar and multi-awarded news anchor Arnold Clavio who watched the game live at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Arnold finished with an AB Journalism degree in 1987.

Meanwhile, Kapuso senior news reporter Jun Veneracion (AB Journalism '93) also showed his school spirit by wearing a UST jacket.
