“Happy Anniversary, baby. I love you. 20 years. ️ @kobebryant”

She followed it up with a short clip of Kobe from a past interview expressing his love and gratitude for his wife. He explains, "It's fun, we have a good time together. I love her tremendously, but we're best friends, too. It's a blessing."

"I love you for now, forever and for always @kobebryant," she wrote.

Lakers legend Paul Gasol, who had been a close friend to the family as a former teammate of Kobe, sent in a heart-shaped bouquet of roses to celebrate the anniversary and to remind the family that he would always be there well even after the death of his friend.

Vanessa Bryant's marriage to Kobe was cut short due to a helicopter crash that led to the death of the famous basketball star and their 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Vanessa Bryant opened up about the “unimaginable pain” that came with the death of both her husband and daughter as well as the grief that she had to overcome since the tragedy.

"You just have to get up and push forward. Lying in bed crying isn't going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again," she told People magazine. "But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that's what I do."

It's been a year since the tragic accident yet Vanessa and her 3 daughters have tried to put their lives together by “smiling through the pain.” She says that dealing with grief is admittedly difficult but shares that those who have recently lost someone should find their reason to live. For Vanessa, it was her family.
