She passed away at the Philippine Heart Center, where she had a double bypass operation last Sept. 9.


Veteran comedienne Tiya Pusit (Myrna Villanueva in real life) passed away on Oct. 2 at 11:29 p.m. She was 66.

GMA News, quoting the actress’ son Christian, reported that she passed away at the Philippine Heart Center where she had a double bypass operation last Sept. 9.

Tiya Pusit was diagnosed with aortic aneurysm and kidney failure last August.  

Last week, her family asked for more prayers after her conditioned worsened despite her operation. The operation had to be postponed because of her anemia and the condition of her heart and kidneys.

Earlier, the family also asked for financial and moral support.

Tiya Pusit’s movies included Pakners, Once Upon a Time in Manila, and Good Morning Teacher.

She was also seen in television programs like One True Love, Beh Bote Nga, and Bahay Mo Ba 'To.
