Vice Ganda: "Feeling ko, lahat tayo, we share the same sentiment..."

Vice Ganda and Ion Perez set aside personal wishes and holiday traditions when they were recently asked about their Christmas hopes at the launch of their newest product endorsement. Instead of talking about gifts or celebrations, the couple spoke candidly about what they wish for the country and for future generations of Filipinos.

For Ion, his Christmas wish goes beyond the present and looks toward the future of Filipinos.

“Christmas wish siguro, maging payapa ang bansang 'to.

He also emphasized that his hope is not self-centred.

Vice echoed her partner's sentiments, “Ako din, I share the same wish.

While Christmas is often associated with gift-giving, Vice believes that the times call for something deeper. “Sigurado akong may binibigay tayong regalo tuwing Pasko. Pero ngayon, ang babaw na nun, e.”

The Unkabogable Star reflected on how perspective changes with experience and responsibility.

She went on to stress that what truly matters now goes beyond fame, popularity, or personal desires.

Vice said, “So feeling ko, lahat tayo, we share the same sentiment na isang malaking regalo sa ating lahat kung magkakaroon ng katinuan, katahimikan, kapayapaan, at pagkakaisa bago pa man mag-Pasko.”

The conversation was joined by entrepreneur and civic worker Rhea Anicoche-Tan, who also shared her reflections shaped by real-life experiences.

“Sa totoo lang, sabi ko nga, parang hindi ako CEO eh,” she said, describing how the realities around her affected her deeply.

Through her work with Rotary and her foundation, Rhea said she witnessed the struggles of many Filipinos firsthand.

Despite the challenges, she expressed gratitude and a renewed appreciation for life. “Kaya this year din, ang daming binigay sa akin ni Lord, na so much to be grateful for,” she said.

As the holidays draw near, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez's message resonates as a timely reminder that the true spirit of Christmas lies not in material gifts, but in shared hope.

Their wish is clear: “isang malaking regalo sa ating lahat” is a country marked by peace, unity, and solutions—because, as Rhea concluded, “we all want a Merry Christmas.”
