It's Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez celebrate their seventh sweet and strong year together!
Last October, the real-life couple marked their special milestone with a romantic motorcycle ride to Rizal, where they had breathtaking views of the city.
Adding more fun to their celebration, Vice and Ion documented the moment in a new vlog together with their South Korean co-host Ryan Bang.
The two opened up about their love story, sharing the joys, challenges, and secrets behind their lasting relationship.
One of those secrets, Ion revealed, was the simple yet powerful act of praying.
"Bago matulog, magdasal. Pagkagising, magdasal," he shared.
The TV host also admitted that their relationship hasn't always been perfect, but their commitment to having good and open communication keeps them strong.
"Basta kaming dalawa bago pumutok ang umaga, mas pipiliin namin mag-usap. Hindi namin tinutulog 'yung away. So bago kami matulog, dapat bati na kami. Kailangan bati na kami," Ion said.
Vice agreed, explaining that this has been their rule since the beginning of their relationship.
"Kung alam natin magbabati tayo, bakit papalipasin pa natin 'yung isa pang araw? 'Di ba, hindi, parang it's not worth it," Vice said.
Ion also emphasized the importance of staying calm and being mindful of his words.
"Kasi masasanay ka, e. Mas pipiliin ko talaga manahimik kesa sa makipagtalo sa bibig. Kasi 'pag sinabi mo na, 'pag nakarinig ka ng masakit na salita, hindi mo na mababawi 'yun. Nasa isip nila 'yun."
The Unkabogable Star echoed his sentiment, saying it's vital to remember that love means partnership and teamwork.
"Kami lagi kailangan namin ipaalala sa isa't isa na 'Partner tayo a. Magkakampi tayo, mag bestfriend tayo. Hindi tayo magkaaway kaya magkakampihan tayo. Hindi tayo pwede 'yung magkaaway,'" Vice said.
Meanwhile, Ion mentioned not informing Vice about his problems once in a while as a concern of the comedian's own problems. But Vice replied it's more okay to share it than being unaware of what's happening.
"Kung talagang iniisip mo na hindi ako mag-isip o hindi mabigatan, mas magandang sabihin mo sa akin agad. Kasi kung hindi, mas iisipin ko," Vice explained.
She then reflected on the dangers of overthinking in a relationship.
"Ang daming ginagawa ng overthinking. When you overthink, you think negatively. When you overthink, you misjudge. When you overthink, you create problems. Isipin mo 'yung problema kung nandyan na 'yung problema. 'Wag mo siya pangunahan."
Vice Ganda and Ion Perez announced their relationship in 2019. After years of love, they happily tied the knot in October 2021.
