Vice Ganda, Kaladkaren, Sassa Gurl, and Iyah Mina talk about their experiences with queerbaiting and discuss the misconceptions people about the LGBTQIA+ community.

Iconic queer celebtities, Vice Ganda, Kaladkaren, Sassa Gurl, and Iyah Mina, came together for an honest, insightful, and empowering conversation for the LGBTQIA++ community.

In her ecent vlog, the Unkabogable Star opened up about the real-life struggles and social issues many queer individuals continue to face, which include the controversial topic of queerbaiting.

Kaladkaren explained, "In layman's terms po, ang queerbaiting ay paggamit ng queer community for your own advantage, own good, without the authentic intention of helping the community."

Vice added that this behavior isn't limited to just men, sharing how even some women engage in performative allyship. One of the common groups Vice highlighted was some of the beauty queens.

The comedian-host then recalled a personal experience with an actor who flirted with her on-air. The moment sparked a fan-favorite “love team” that even became a hot topic online. But once the actor's fame rose, everything changed.

Even in other events, Vice claimed that the actor truly acted strangely towards her until his fame didn't flourish when his love team ended.

While Sassa Gurl didn't share a queerbaiting experience, she opened up about being judged for her identity.

"Nakita niya akong papalapit, sabi niya, 'You get out. You don't-' parang ganoon," she shared.

But thinking the person was already drunk, Sassa Gurl just understood the possibility her friend didn't mean it that way.

"Medyo na-offend ako ng very light noon. Sige, naintindihan ko naman," the social media star admitted.

Kaladkaren also shared a moment that left her hurt. During a recent encounter with an acquaintance, she was asked an inappropriate question.

Though offended, Kaladkaren chose to educate the person rather than lash out.

"Putol man o hindi, feeling niya babae na siya, alam niya sa sarili niya ang gender identity niya ay transgender woman, babae siya," she explained.

To wrap up the conversation, Vice Ganda stressed that society must move past outdated beliefs about what it means to be transgender.

Iyon 'yung lumang paniniwala dati," she added.
