
A day after winning the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor award, Call Me Mother star Vice Ganda posted on social media a heartfelt thanks to the supporters who helped make the victory possible.
Vice admitted in her post that the victory was so overwhelming it left her speechless.
In her Facebook post, she described his overflowing emotions following the MMFF 2025 Gabi ng Parangal held on December 27, 2025.
"Nalutang, nataranta, natulala hanggang sa nalasing nako kagabi kaya't di na ko nakapagpasalamat sa inyo," Vice wrote.
Writing to her millions of followers, the 'Madlang People' and the 'Little Ponies', Vice thanked them for their unending support, love, and for “fighting” for the film which helped her win the award during the ceremony.
“MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT MADLANG PEOPLE AND MY LITTLE PONIES!!!!” she wrote.
“Alam kong ginusto nyo to para sakin. At inilaban nyo ko. At alam kong masayang masaya kayo,” she continued.
Reiterating her acceptance speech during the awards night, where she proclaimed that "Queer people can be Best Actors,” she concluded her post by exclaiming: “WE won!”
Vice also underscored that the trophy represents more than just a personal milestone, but a shared win for LGBTQIA+ visibility in Philippine film.
Vice Ganda's MMFF journey has been a decade-long evolution from "Box Office Queen" to critically acclaimed Best Actor. After years of blockbuster records for her film entries, she finally secured the festival's top acting award in 2025 for her dramatic performance in the film Call Me Mother.
