In her guest appearance on Mars Pa More, Dra. Vicki Belo, briefly talked about her own insecurities while growing up that ultimately led her to become the beauty expert that she is today.

Dra. Vicki revealed, “'Yung 'storya ng Belo Medical Group talagang it was built from my insecurities kasi number one, adopted ako at tsaka nung five years old ata ako, nasa school, napakataba ko.”

And according to the Dra. Vicki, since she's been a victim of bullying herself, her mission to help others overcome their insecurities is very close to her heart.

During the said Mars Pa More episode, Dra. Vicki also gushed about the beautiful transformation of The Clash Season 3 Grand Champion, Jessica Villarubin.

She said, “Really what drives me is people like Jessica. Kasi, 'pag nakita mo 'yung transformation from being quiet, shy, insecure, to somebody like her na, 'Hey, I look good, 'di ba? And ngayon puwede ko nang ipalabas talent ko.'

“Nakakaiyak for me 'cause 'yun palagi ang aking goal, na the people that we do will feel more confident and more beautiful, and more comfortable in their body. So, ikaw na 'yun, girl.”

The doctor to the stars also thanked Jessica for being open about her beauty enhancement.

Dra. Vicki told Jessica, “Thank you. Because I need you to help people as well realize that this is not, you know, bad or--kasi 'di ba maraming judgment, 'di ba?”

She also emphasized why people should look at beauty enhancements in a different light and not judge those who wish to have them.

“Usually the people who judge are people who are so beautiful, they don't need anything, or 'yung mga ayaw magpagawa, so jina-judge nila 'yung mga nagpapagawa. For me, that's discrimination.

“Dapat whatever makes you happy, basta hindi ka naman nakakasakit ng ibang tao, gawin mo for yourself. That's what you call self-love, 'di ba?”

Dra. Vicki also gave some advice to Jessica on how she can keep becoming a better version of herself.

“You can fly. You can soar. 'I Believe I Can Fly,' 'di ba? Favorite kanta ko 'yon.

"Kasi, 'yung mga nagho-hold down sa'yo na mga self-consciousness mo about the way you look, wala na.

“And I think now you'd be an even better performer and singer 'cause when you go out there, dapat winner na talaga ang [dating] mo.

“And secondly, to get closer to God because He gave you that talent and I think you should glorify Him in everything that you do. Reach for the stars, but keep your feet on the ground.”

Meanwhile, Jessica shared what she loves most about herself now after having gone through a beauty transformation.

She said, “Siguro po 'yung being confident talaga. 'Yun talaga, as in. Kasi 'pag nasa stage ako parang 'Ay, 'di naman 'yan…' parang ganun po. Parang ngayon po, parang 'Ito na ko. This is me na.' (laughs) As in, positive lang talaga tsaka super happy po talaga.”

Jessica also gave inspiring words to those who are dealing with insecurities.

“And siyempre naman it's not also about the outside or physical appearance, but the most important po is 'yung kalooban mo. So 'yun, and be confident with yourself and, yeah, love yourself talaga.”
