Happy Birthday, Kapuso!
Kapuso drama actor Jason Abalos has found a perfect partner with beauty queen Vickie Rushton.
Yesterday, January 14, Jason celebrated his birthday and Vickie made it even more special by writing a heartfelt message for her “baba” on Instagram.
She wrote, “To the most selfless person I know, to the person who have touched so many lives (including mine) in sooo many ways, to the person who randomly stops and gets out of the car to help, to the person who does all the weird stuff just to make me laugh, to my Baba, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAY! ♥️
“I miss you and I love you.”
Jason replied to Vickie's birthday post, “Thank you baba. Miss na din kita. I love you.”
The sweet couple first met at an event in Bacolod in 2010 and the rest is history, as they say.
In a Chika Minute report in September 2020, Jason Abalos has expressed his desire to live in Nueva Ecija, where he and Vickie could raise their future family.
“Meron kasi kami doon na gusto kong ipa-develop na pamana ng lolo ko," the actor said. "So sabi ko mas maganda 'ka ko na ating bahay nasa nature."
"Mas maganda dito papalakihin mga anak natin na sanay sa alagang hayop, sanay sa halaman."
Meanwhile, Jason also received a ton of birthday greetings from his closest showbiz friends including Jak Roberto, Rayver Cruz, and Marco Alcaraz, to name a few.
Transfer to GMA-7
Before becoming a Kapuso, Jason Abalos stayed with the Kapamilya network for 12 years--he was a product of the reality-based artista search Star Circle Quest.
In October 2017, he signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network.com, he shared his reasons why he decided to switch networks.
“Isa rin sa dahilan kung bakit lumipat ako ng GMA, baka mabigyan ako ng roles na hindi ko nagawa sa [ABS]
"Mas gusto ko lang palawakin 'yung [maaabot] ng craft ko.”
"Siyempre, yung mga bagong taong makikilala at makakatrabaho ko, panibagong pakikisama ito, e, so dun ako na-excite. Mas nacha-challenge ako sa mga taong nakakatrabaho ko."
Some of his big projects with GM-7 were The One That Got Away (2018), Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko (2018), and Bihag (2019).
