"Gamitin n'yo na lang po yung pera sa mas nangangailangan," says Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto to supporters who plan to give him birthday gifts.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto discouraged his supporters from sending birthday gifts.

During his live update for Pasigueños on Monday, June 14, Mayor Vico was flooded with birthday greetings from his fans and followers.

The son of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes will turn 32 on Thursday, June 17.

Before ending his live update, the mayor thanked everyone for his greeting. He also reminded his supporters not to give him any gift for his birthday.

Instead, he told his supporters to use the money to help those in need.

Okay na po ako," he said.

Last year, Mayor Vico also discouraged his staff from preparing a surprise party for him. Likewise, he asked his supporters to donate food packs instead of giving him gifts.
