Vin Abrenica admits that 2020 had been a tough year for him and longtime girlfriend Sophie Albert but, "We emerged from it stronger and sweeter."
Former Bihag star Sophie Albert was feeling a bit emotional as she looked back on her eight-year relationship with Vin Abrenica.
Sophie and Vin first met each other in the defunct reality talent search show Artista Academy in 2012.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sophie posted a photo with her boyfriend and expressed how much happy she is with Vin around.
She said, “Scrolling through my gallery and realized that woooah, how time flies!
"We've known each other for 9 years, been together for 8, but swear it all feels like yesterday.
"We've been through many milestones together, gone to many places, have done countless crazy stupid things and all I really wanna say is I've been living my best life since meeting you
For his part, Vin admitted that 2020 was pretty tough on their relationship, but the hunk actor is glad that both of them came out stronger amidst the problem.
Vin recalled, “love the way we look together
"8 years together and it still feels like yesterday.
"I know baby, this 2020 has been our toughest year to date ( I know many of you can relate) however, we emerged from it stronger and sweeter.
“ I'm so ready to take this year head on even if my knees are weak for what's to come but as long as we're together I know that I'll be living my best lifetime.
“Yesterday, today and tomorrow. This beautiful woman makes my heart sing and she is my best friend. How lucky am I?”
Several celebrities reacted to Sophie and Vin's sweet message for each other on their eight anniversary, which include Mikee Quintos and Luis Hontiveros.
Sophie's showbiz career
Sophie Albert began her career as a commercial and print ad model.
The mestiza beauty has foreign blood since her grandmother on her mother's side is Spanish-Italin, while her grandfather is Irish-Portuguese descent.
In an interview with Tunay na Buhay in 2019, Sophie shared the challenges her family had to go through when she was just 10-years-old, after her father got sick.
“Kami lang 'yung nakakaramdam ng ganu'ng feeling.
"It was a difficult adjusting period, but I'm lucky that kaming magkakapatid naging solid kami lahat,"
