'Cruz vs. Cruz' star Vina Morales paid tribute to the late music icon, Pilita Corrales.
The local showbiz industry was heartbroken with the news of the passing of Asia's Queen of Songs and actress, Pilita Corrales.
Actress Janine Gutierrez, who is Pilita's grandchild, confirmed the news over the weekend via social media.
"Pilita touched the lives of many, not only with her songs but also with her kindness and generosity. She will be remembered for her contributions to the entertainment industry, but most of all for her love of life and family," a part of her caption read.
Various celebrities and personalities have paid tribute to the veteran star, including singer and Cruz vs. Cruz star Vina Morales. In an Instagram post, Vina uploaded a video of her fun moment with the late OPM icon and expressed how honored she was to have worked with her.
"Tita Pilita, our Asia's Queen of Songs. I am so grateful to have worked with you all these years especially during the peak of the pandemic, hardest days for everyone," she wrote.
Vina added, "Tita, it was such an honor to share the screen with you. I'm crying while typing this and editing the video. I love you po, always. Thank you for the memories and the inspiration."
Pilita Corrales, who was known as Asia's Queen of Songs, passed away at the age of 85.
