Kapuso actors Vince Crisostomo of Prima Donnas and Jamir Zabarte of Heartful Café shared their thoughts on male stereotypes during a recent episode of Mars Pa More.
In the segment called "Truth Cam," Vince and Jamir talked about some of the expectations and pressures that society put on men.
Jamir went first and discussed how society expects men to be decisive and make good or correct decisions all the time.

He said, “Sabi nila kapag nagdesisyon ang lalaki, kailangan laging tama, laging perfect.
Jamir then related his own experience about feeling the pressure of always making good decisions.
Vince also shared his experience of feeling insecure about always being perfect.
“Tsaka parang everytime I would go to school, parang ano siya e, competition in a way.
“Gusto ko na parang siyempre you're always perfect, na lahat ng ginagawa mo, everybody will look up to you.
“So 'yun 'yung parang naging feeling ko before.”
But he emphasized that he has since learned that making mistakes is natural and inevitable.
“It's. okay to make mistakes. Like what my dad always tells me na ok lang magkamali. It's a process.
“Parang, 'yun nga, practice makes perfect. And everytime na magkakamali ako, hindi ko siya parang trinatrato as something na would pull me down.
“'Yun pa 'yung nagiging motivation ko to do better sa kung ano mang gagawin ko.”
The Prima Donnas star also talked about how men are expected to always act tough.
“You can also have that soft side, 'yung pagiging graceful mo, 'yung pagiging marespeto mo towards other people.
“And that's the best thing about having both. And being graceful, there's really nothing wrong with that.
“It's mostly all about the positive side. Hindi naman siya masama--ang pagiging graceful--dahil 'yon nga e, parang naging norm na sa mga tao na 'pag graceful 'to e hindi siya lalaki, is considered as “bakla.”
“And there's nothing wrong with that at all. Kasi ako mismo, I have that mix of both. I have that balance of both.”
