As the new year begins, the thrilling summer season is just around the corner.
But even months before the hot season officially arrives, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre star Vince Maristela already looks sizzling and beach-ready with his washboard abs.Recently, the Kapuso star shared snaps from his Siargao adventure with former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition housemates AZ Martinez, Ralph de Leon, Kira Balinger, and fellow Sparkle artist Sean Lucas.
Along with candid moments with his friends, fans couldn't help but admire Vince's impressive beach body.
In an interview with 24 Oras, the Hating Kapatid actor revealed that his toned physique results from years of discipline and long-term fitness commitment.
"Eight years na akong nagwo-work out so I think kilalang-kilala ko na talaga ang katawan ko. Nagda-diet na ako since 2021," Vince shared.
"Noong Siargao na 'yon, gusto ko lang din talaga i-showcase 'yung hardwork ko. Siyempre saan pa maganda i-showcase 'yun, e di sa beach 'di ba?"
According to the Sparkle star, maintaining his abs and physique ultimately comes down to a consistent fitness lifestyle and proper diet—though he made it clear he still eats rice.
"Depende pa rin sa training ko. Since minsan nagka-cardio, minsan kailangan ko ng energy. So I think dahil kilalang-kilala ko na ang katawan ko, na-e-estimate ko na," he explained.
Beyond fitness, Vince said the Siargao trip became even more memorable because of the quality time he spent with his PBB and Kapuso friends.
"Kaunti lang kasi 'yung time namin sa Bahay ni Kuya eh. Eh 'pag nandito kami sa Manila, four hours kaming magkasama. Eh doon sa Siargao, four days kaming magkasama. Hindi kami naghihiwalay," he said.
The actor also shared about being close to Kira Balinger, as many netizens noticed in their pictures.
"Naging close kami doon sa totoo lang," he said, referring to the Huwag Kang Titingin star.
Vince added that Kira's love team partner and fellow PBB housemate Josh Ford was originally supposed to join the trip but had to spend the holidays in the United Kingdom.
"Doon siya nag-New Year, doon siya nag Christmas. Family niya rin kasi 'yon. Next time na lang," he added.
Meanwhile, Vince remains focused on his growing showbiz career, currently appearing in GMA's drama series Hating Kapatid.
He is also part of the stellar cast of GMA's superserye Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre, where he plays Akiro, a friend of Terra (Bianca Umali).
