The Kapuso artists Vince Maristela and AZ Martinez, gave children with cancer an early Christmas treat.
The Sparkle artists and former PBB Celebrity Collab Edition housemates, Vince Maristela and AZ Martinez, visited Bahay Aruga to see the children with cancer and bring them joy by giving out early Christmas gifts.
They spent quality time with children battling cancer, engaging in activities, sharing gifts, and offering words of encouragement that brightened the often-difficult days of the young patients.
Joining Vince and AZ in bringing joy to the children was their former housemate, Kira Balinger, who also gave a message of encouragement to the kids fighting the disease.
In an exclusive interview on Chika Minute on 24 Oras, the two shared why this activity is special to them.
Vince shared that the visit is close to his heart because someone in his family once had cancer.
“Sa family kasi namin, meron nang nagkaroon ng cancer; and I think isa 'yon sa mga tumatak sa puso ko no'ng first time ko pumunta rito,” he shared.
AZ, on the other hand, shared that this is truly special to her heart, just as she had shared when she was still inside the PBB House.
“It's something close to my heart din, kami ni River, we advocated for cancer patients. Na-remember ko 'yung duo ko, and 'yung dad ko,” AZ said.
In an Instagram post from Sparkle, the children's gratitude for the gifts and the visit of the two artists can be seen.
Vince and AZ wholeheartedly expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to share happiness at Bahay Aruga.
They are also thankful for all the blessings and continuous work and fan support, which has given them the platform to help and share it with others.
The two also shared their plans for the upcoming Christmas season.
Vince is excited to spend Christmas with his family and is also looking forward to eating, playing games, and doing other activities with them.
Meanwhile, AZ shared that every Christmas her family usually travels, but this year they will stay in the country to celebrate the holidays.
Both Vince and AZ continue to be busy with their respective careers on GMA Network, with Vince flexing his dramatic skills in the GMA Afternoon Prime series Hating Kapatid, while AZ is the leading lady of Michael Sager in the film, Opposites Almost Attract, which can be seen on YouTube.
Despite their hectic schedules, they remain dedicated to their outreach efforts.
