
2PM member and actor Taecyeon is making a huge step in his career this year by signing a contract with a US talent agency.
Soompi reported that the K-pop idol is now part of WME (William Morris Endeavor), which handles the career of Hollywood stars like Michael B. Jordan, Tom Holland, and Matthew McConaughey.
Taecyeon released a statement to Soompi about this new chapter as a performer saying, “I'm excited and happy to take on a new challenge. I talked a lot with the local agency.”
He added, “Although it will not be easy to take on a new challenge in an unfamiliar environment, I think it is a good opportunity to learn a lot.”

Meanwhile, his Korean agency 51K also expressed their support for this exciting news. “We are happy that Taecyeon, who has been expanding his reach as an actor thorough various projects including Vincenzo, Hansan: Rising Dragon, Blind, and more, signed a formal agent contract with WME, one of the representative agencies in the United States. Some of Taecyeon's notable projects include Vincenzo with Korean superstar Song Joong-ki. He also appeared in Dream High in 2011.
