Be inspired by Diego Garcia, the viral TikTokerist without legs, and how he keeps a positive outlook despite the bullying he experiences.
Diego Garcia recently shot to fame when he went viral because of his TikTok videos. Aside from his graceful dance moves, another remarkable thing about Diego is how he seems unbothered by the fact that he has no legs and feet.

Diego, who was born with a congenital malformation called Tetra-amelia Syndrome, which is why his legs and feet were not developed.
According to Diego's mom, she suspects that it was her accidental taking of birth control pills -since she was initially unaware that she was pregnant--that caused the birth defect.
However, general physician Dr. Gerald Belandres explained that the likely causes of the malformation of Diego's legs and feet are exposure to radiation or consumption of a certain medicine that is prohibited for pregnant women.
Although Diego has no ill feelings towards her mother or his situation, he was however not able to escape the inevitable: being bullied for his deformity.
According to Diego, he was not spared from hurtful remarks and discrimination from others.
“Marami po talagang nambu-bully. Marami pong nang-aapi sa'yo at pilit kang ni-lu-look down po.
“Yung madalas kang sinasabihang 'Ikaw, manananggal ka,' po. Ganun po. Nasaan daw yung kalahating paa ko? Bakit wala?
“Pero siyempre minsan hindi rin maiwasan, ma'am, na medyo mapikon ako pero ang ginagawa ko na lang po is kumbaga balewalain ko na lang po. Hindi ko na lang intindihin.
“Kasi kung papatulan ko po, lalaki lang po 'yung gulo po.”
Diego's efforts to ignore the bullies and focus on his goals have eventually paid off, as he has finished a vocational course on Computer Hardware Servicing and is currently the breadwinner of his family.
