National Planetarium

Online registration is not required!

The National Planetarium in Manila is back after ceasing operations for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Making the announcement was the National Museum of the Philippines via its Facebook page.

The opening coincides with National Culture Consciousness Week celebrated this month.

But before you start planning your visit, take note of these health and safety guidelines for an enjoyable visit.

Who are allowed to visit?

Individuals ages 15 and above, including those with disabilities, are the only ones permitted to visit the venue.

This is in line with the protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

The usual protocols will be observed such as the checking of temperature of the visitors. Guests are also required to wear face masks and face shields. Physical distancing is also strictly observed inside the venue.

Senior citizens who are fully vaccinated will be admitted upon presentation of their COVID-19 vaccination card.

Is registration required?

Online registration is not required. Walk-in visitors will be accepted but need to present a valid ID with birth date details.

Guests need to fill up a health declaration form before entering the venue. The form is also available via the StaySafePH mobile app.

Only 20 guests will be admitted inside per 30-minute session.

What's there to enjoy?

The venue's theater and shows are still closed, unfortunately.

However, visitors can access and enjoy the galleries featuring an exhibition on the ethno-astronomy of indigenous Filipinos.

Operating hours

The National Planetarium is open to guests from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday.
