According to Alma Moreno, Derrick and Mark have one trait in common.

Veteran actress Alma Moreno is trying to focus on her latest project with the Kapuso network, Tsuperhero, despite Mark Anthony Fernandez's unfortunate predicament.

The former Gwapings star was arrested early this month by the police in Pampanga for carrying one kilo of marijuana in his car.

In an exclusive interview with 24 Oras, Alma talked about her experience while visiting her son in jail.

“Si Mark bago ako umalis nagsabi ako sa kanya na mga ilang araw na wala ako, kasi walang dalaw. Sasabihin nun sa akin 'Babalik ka Ma?', 'yung hawak niya babalik ka ma. Sabi ko hindi kita iiwanan, nandito lang ako.”

She also tries her best to lift the moral of his son.

“'Pag nakikita kong pinanghihinaan ka ng loob mas nate-tense ako. Lalo akong nanghihina. Hindi! Sabi ko nandito lang kami, maraming nagmamahal sa iyo.”

Alma who plays the mother of Derrick Monasterio in the superhero/comedy series also told Lhar Santiago that she must not be distracted with her work while attending to the needs of Mark.

The actress added that Derrick reminds her of her son for being so malambing to her during their tapings.

“Nasa taping ako, pipilitin ko ang focus ko itong trabaho ko. Si Aling Martha ako dito, ‘yung role ko 'yun ‘yung dapat ako.

“Bilang isang ina na kasama mo lalo na pag-inaakap mo. Malambing pa naman dito si Derrick sa akin talaga. Laging nakaakap, laging nakaalalay ‘yun parang si Mark,” she said.
