Sa panayam ni 24 Oras reporter Athena Imperial, ikinuwento ng Father of Christmas Songs na hindi raw niya malilimutan ang concert niya sa Lanao del Norte.
Kuwento niya, “I asked them, 'What would you like me to sing?'
“And these were predominantly Muslims… 'Christmas in Our Hearts.'
“So nagulat ako. Buti na lang we had a minus one! So, I sang 'Christmas in Our Hearts' and the whole gym was singing along.
“It touched me to realize that my song had crossed borders, had crossed religions.”
Ikinatutuwa naman daw niya ang ilang memes na nagkakalat tuwing pumapasok ang buwan ng Setyembre.
Pero mayroon isang hiling si Chan sa mga Pinoy.
“I'm a little bit conscious because I don't want people to think that I'm so mayabang na I own all the speakers sa malls.
“But I wish they would also play 'yung ang pasko ay sumapit… kasi that is very Filipino,” aniya.
